Dear Parents and Community Members:
We are pleased to present you with the Annual Education
Report (AER) which provides key information on the 2010-2011 educational
progress for the River School.
The AER addresses the complex reporting information required by federal
and state laws. The school’s report contains information about student
assessment, Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and teacher quality. If you have any questions about the
AER, please contact me for assistance.
The AER is available for you to review electronically by
visiting the following web site www.riverschoolk8.org or you may review a copy
from the Principal office at your child’s school.
According to the AER Report River School is continuing to
make adequate year progress at all grade levels.
State law requires that we also report additional
information. Fro 2010-2011, river School has made Adequate Yearly Progress
(AYP) in English language arts and mathematics. While we are pleased to have reached this important goal, we
are continuously working to improve.
We appreciate the continued support of parents, staff and our community
in this effort.
As a matter of course:
1.
Students are assigned to a grade as space is
available.
2.
The school continues to refine the 3-5 year school
Improvement plan as more information and data becomes available.
3.
The school continues to provide Speech and Learning
Impaired Services to students as needed.
4.
Information and implementation of the States Core
curriculum at a particular grade can be made available through the classroom
teacher.
5.
MEAP school comparisons are available at the school
web site.
6.
Participation in Parent Teachers Conference is at
100%
Though the River Teachers and staff have been successful
in achieving the State standards we continue to be vigilant and will always
strive to utilize staff and material to educate your child.
